LOEX 2008 will be held at the Doubletree Hotel Chicago-Oak Brook, Illinois (1909 Spring Road, Oak Brook, Illinois).

A block of rooms have been reserved at a rate is $139 US per night, single/double occupancy, plus applicable taxes. Ask for the LOEX rate if you call for reservations.

- Guest accommodations will be available at 3:00 pm on arrival day and reserved until 12:00 noon on departure day. Any attendee wishing special consideration for late checkout should inquire at the front desk on the day of departure.

- Drive time: 45-50 min.
- Directions: Exit airport to Cicero Rd. N to Interstate-55 W to 294 N to Interstate-88 W to Cermak 22nd street. Continue straight on.

- Amtrak - Union Station in downtown Chicago, distance from hotel: 18 mi.
- Taxis - The Doubletree website provides taxi fare estimates, though please note these do not include tip and are minimum rates that may be slightly higher depending upon traffic. American Taxi offers a flat rate between Oak Brook and O'Hare/Midway airports. Passenger information for calling a cab from the airports is available online.
- Shuttle service - Airport Express offers a $2 off coupon and a custom reservation page for LOEX attendees. Shuttles are reserved and coordinated by the attendees, not by the LOEX 2008 committee.
- Public transportation - Public
transportation is possible from the airports, but not convenient.
- RTA (When using the trip planner, you can select Oakbrook Center as the landmark closest to the hotel. It's the large mall that's across the street from the hotel.)
